Today in class we spent the class preparing for the Criminal Mock Trial.

Witnesses: Complete Witness Affidavits using the Sample Below but be sure to put only one sentence per numbered line and be sure to include the signature line as it is found in the sample including the language that indicates it was signed under the pains and penalties of perjury. You can do an electronic signature and then upload it to Google Classroom under Witness Affidavits.

Lawyers: Each of you will need to create a comprehensive timeline of events- paying specific attention to who was where, and when, as it relates to your case and the witnesses that will be called in your case (you do not need to include irrelevant facts but should be 100% sure that a fact is irrelevant before you omit it). Start at the beginning and use the map to fully understand this. Also determine which witnesses you will need to call and list the information you expect each witness to provide you as well as the big questions you plan to ask each witness. This should all be placed in a single Google Doc and submitted under Lawyer Prep in Google Classroom. Each lawyer must do this individually. You may collaborate with co-counsel after today's preparation period but today is on your own.
